Some girls cannot help their hair being this short, others (like in my case :)), can help it, they just need a change. Thankfully, there are many hair products out there to help "spice up" a short cut :).
There are some things, however, that we need to be aware of when we dress ourselves: The Bible says in 1Timothy 2:9-10 that "...women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control... [not with] costly attire, but with what is proper for women who profess godliness—with good works."
As Christian young women, we need to represent our maker. If we dress too gaudily, we are saying:
"PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!!"
How are people supposed to know we represent Jesus if our clothing is screaming a different message?
With that being said, lets do some shopping! The headband I'm wearing in the picture above is just a strip of blue fabric I had lying around in my room. This by far is the cheapest way to acquire head scarves. Stop by your local fabric store and pick up as little as 1/4 yard and make your head ties! There is even a website dedicated to scarf tying tutorials! How cool is that!! www.scarves.net/how-to-tie-a-scarf/head-scarves/
If making scarves is just something you don't do, there are always stores! Even some grocery stores have an isle dedicated to hair products. I, however, purchased most of my hair accessories from a beauty supply store called Sally's Beauty Supply. If you click on the images below, it will take you to where I purchased my hair products.
These some of the headbands I own, but there are so many other great hair accessories for girls with short hair, it's unbelievable! To see what I mean, check out: www.scunci.com ; www.goody.com ; www.sallybeauty.com
I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May God continue to bless you as you walk with Him!
